Makes about 12 apple rings (2 main courses or 4 desserts)
ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 90 ml of milk
- 2 tsp icing sugar (powdered sugar)
- 100 g of flour
- Pinch of salt
- 2 apples
for baking: oil (clarified butter, coconut fat)
for sprinkling: icing sugar and cinnamon
Preparation:
Whisk the eggs, milk, sugar and salt in a bowl with a whisk.
Add the flour and stir to a smooth, thick mass. Put the dough on its side and prepare the apples.
Peel the apples, slice them and cut out the core in the middle. I always take my flower cutter. You can also use an apple cutter to remove the core, and then slice the apples. Carefully cut the apples into slices approx. 1 cm thick.
Heat the oil in a large pan. When the oil is hot, pull each apple ring through the dough, drain briefly and place in the pan. Then turn down the stove slightly so that the apple rings do not immediately turn very brown.
Bake the apples on both sides golden brown.
Drain briefly on kitchen paper, arrange on plates and immediately dusted with icing sugar (and cinnamon) enjoy.
If you do several games in a row, you can keep the apple rings warm in the oven. However, they are not so crispy then.
